Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sunbay Udupi Sambhar Concentrate

  • ½ cup water

  • 2 tbsp carrot, diced

  • ¼ cup drumstick pieces

  • 2 tsp oil (optional, for tempering)

  • ½ tsp Spicefield mustard seeds

  • 1 tbsp curry leaves

  • 1 whole dried red chilli

  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)

Method of Preparation


Step 1: Prepare the Sambhar

In a pan, combine the Sunbay Udupi Sambhar Concentrate and water. Mix thoroughly until smooth.

Step 2: Cook the Vegetables

Add diced carrot and drumstick pieces. Bring the sambhar to a boil and cook until the vegetables become tender.

Step 3: Prepare the Tempering

Heat oil in a small tempering pan. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and dried red chilli. Allow them to crackle and release their aroma.

Step 4: Combine & Finish

Pour the tempering over the sambhar and mix well.

Step 5: Garnish & Serve

Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
